BTC RIPPING, S&P AT ATHS, OIL TANKING π |
On Fridays, when we can, we like to find an excuse to send you off into the weekend with a big olβ smile on your face. |
But over the past month or so - that's been a tall task. |
Thankfully, today, it looks like the tides are turning. |
The macro backdrop has been quietly resetting all week, with U.S.-Iran tensions cooling off, day by day. |
And it all seemed to come to a head this morning, with two big developments: |
1. Continued peace talks between the U.S. and Iran were set for this Sunday, in Pakistan. |
2. Iran re-opened the Strait of Hormuz to commercial shipping. π |
|
That second one is what really set markets off. |
Oil cratered from around $90 per barrel down to around $79. |
(Lower oil prices = less pressure on the global economy = lowered threat of inflation = good for risk assets.) |
And off the back of oilβs move down, the S&P 500 punched through to new all-time highs and Bitcoin ripped straight to $78k! |
But shoot, I'm getting ahead of myself. |
Because this week wasn't just a story of geopolitics. |
It was also the week that a new swath of TradFi suits showed up to the crypto party, carrying very large bags of money⦠|
|
| Real World Assets (RWAs) are shaping up to be one of cryptoβs biggest use cases. | But hereβs the gap: | There havenβt been many Layer 1s built specifically for RWAs. | Well, that was until Real Finance Blockchain came along. | Real Finance Blockchain is an EVM-compatible L1 that is built specifically for RWA tokenization. | Hereβs what stands out: | Already has $500M+ in RWAs set to be deployed Supports a wide range of RWAs like credit pools and lending markets Built for seamless compatibility across DeFi

BTC RIPPING, S&P AT ATHS, OIL TANKING (P2) π |
Three of the biggest names on Wall Street all made crypto moves in the same 5-day window: |
1. Goldman Sachs ($3.7T in client assets) filed for a BTC Premium Income ETF. |
|
2. Charles Schwab ($12T in client assets) announced the launch of Schwab Crypto. |
|
3. Morgan Stanley ($1.9T in client assets) launched their own spot BTC ETF. |
|
Add those up and you get $17.6T worth of client assets that either have, or will soon have a direct pipeline to crypto. |
These are the firms where your parents, your uncle, and the world's biggest pension funds park their cash. |
And they just rolled out the welcome mat for BTC. |
When the pipes connecting that kind of money to crypto start opening up, the water (cash) starts flowing. |
Zooming out/wrapping up⦠|
Two big things have been weighing on risk assets for the past month or so: |
Geopolitical fear, and stubborn inflation worries. |
This week, both of them started to ease. |
Middle East tensions are cooling⦠oil is cheaper⦠inflation fears are easing⦠stocks are at all-time highs⦠BTC just broke $78k⦠and some of the biggest names in finance are moving off the sidelines and into crypto⦠|
All at the same time! |
Feels safe to say: you can now go into the weekend with a big stupid grin on your face. |
(I know I will be.) |
| NEW FEATURE: ANALYST WATCHLISTS ARE HERE π | As of yesterday, our analysts' watchlists are live: the assets they're keeping their eyes on but not quite ready to pull the trigger on yet. | Each watchlist entry comes with the analyst's rationale for why it's on their radar, target prices they're watching for, and real-time updates when their thinking evolves. When something gets removed, you'll see exactly why, whether it hit their target, the thesis broke down, or they just changed their mind. | Plus, there's a full "Past Watchlist" archive so you can track the history of what came and went. | Think of it as a window into our analysts' research process before it becomes a portfolio move. | | |

Nah, pass: A Chinese professor recently claimed BTC was created by the CIA. It's a catchy hook. But it doesn't pass the sniff test. |
The SEC's Hester Peirce: "If we can encourage people to build here, our investors will benefit, our markets will benefit." |
James Lavish: "I would be shocked if we're not bumping back up toward $100k-$125k by the end of this year and we're not hitting $150k next year." |
