Dear email,
There’s nothing quite as lovely at this time of year as the scent of Christmas baking wafting around a home. Perhaps, like us, you’re looking forward to some sweet seasonal treats and some downtime in which to enjoy them. As you nibble on those biscuits and maybe sip a warming drink, why not try the quizzes in this newsletter? They're a fun way to pass the time and you’ll be learning a little bit, too.
Additionally, you might like to listen to the Spotlight podcast, English, please! This time it’s about films, series, events and books the team enjoyed in the 2025.
No matter how you choose to spend this festive season, we’d like to wish you a peaceful and contented holiday.
All the best from

cousin walk
Did you know...? Spending time with the family is nice – but sometimes exhausting. The remedy for young people is the “cousin walk”: a stroll around the block that you take with your younger relatives to get some fresh air... and maybe smoke some marijuana. The expression is relatively new and mainly used in US English.
