External Authentication

We kicked off February with a company Hackathon week and now we have a bunch of exciting updates to share!

The first is one the entire team at Pipedream is super excited about, External Authentication.

Customers love using Pipedream for building serverless workflows and automations between internal systems. Sometimes, these needs expand into customer-facing systems which raises a question around how to use customer authentication within your Pipedream workflow.

With External Authentication, you can now use the flexibility and speed of developing Pipedream workflows to build robust scalable integrations for your own user base.

This unlocks a variety of new ways for teams to use Pipedream, and it is just the beginning of what is to come in this area!

Data Retention Controls With Data Retention Controls, you can now disable all logging on any workflow, adding an extra layer of security for any workflow passing sensitive information or credentials. Workflows with this enabled will no longer have their logs visible in the inspector or event history UI. Learn More	Create Workflow API The Create Workflow API allows teams to create new workflows through the Pipedream API, saving time when deploying multiple copies of a workflow. This includes the ability pass authentication, steps, and trigger props as workflow configurations. Learn More
Python GA The Python runtime is officialy out of beta, and we've shipped support for Python 3.12. You can run any Pthon code within a workflow, import any PyPI package, use connected accounts , access data stores and more. You can use Python alongside any other code and pre-built action in your workflow. Learn More	Pi in the UI Our chatbot, Pi, has been a helpful presence in our Slack community for the past 6 months. It's helped answer thousands of questions ranging from error troubleshooting to helping write code. Pi is now ready to help directly within your Pipedream account.
